The chamber can be ordered in standard sizes (10", 16" or 24" inch cubed), or it can be fabricated to meet specific design and size requirements. For those vacuum applications that do not require internal lighting, or any of the electrically operated options, the EconoVac EV-Series provides a cost effective alternative. Eliminating the electrical system makes the EconoVac EV-Series the lowest priced of our rectangular vacuum chamber models. The quality all-welded construction, and the full-view clear acrylic door remain. Vacuum capability is .01 Torr (0.1mm Hg. or 100 micron Hg.)
The Envax VC Series Vacuum Chamber is an all-purpose design. Its simple, thick wall, Welded aluminum plate construction makes it easy to modify for customer applications, either at the time of manufacture, or as a retrofit project.
The chamber can be ordered in standard sizes (10", 16" or 24" inch cubed), or it can be fabricated to meet specific design and size requirements. Standard VC series chambers are equipped with a clear cast acrylic door and an internal lamp providing and unimpeded view of the internal area. The control panel includes a vacuum gauge, a vacuum release valve, and a switched receptacle for the optional vacuum pump. A chamber isolation ball valve leading to a barbed outlet fitting (1-inch diameter) for connection to the optional, or customer's vacuum pump is also included.
The Primary cause of bubbles and voids in potting, encapsulation and resin-Casting operations is entrapped air. The simplest way to eliminate the problem is to cast in a vacuum. The Envax VE Series Vacuum Encapsulator is designed as a complete solution for many potting, encapsulation and resin-casting applications.
The Envax VE Series Vacuum Encapsulator can be ordered in standard sizes (10", 16" or 24" inch cubed), or it can be fabricated to meet specific design and size requirements. It includes a clear cast acrylic door and an internal lamp providing and unimpeded view of the internal area. The control panel includes a vacuum gauge, a vacuum release valve, and a switched receptacle for the optional vacuum pump. A chamber isolation ball valve, Mechanical Vacuum Regulator (designed to maintain a preset vacuum level between 709 torr to 0.1 torr), leading to a barbed outlet fitting (1-inch diameter) for connection to the optional, or customer's vacuum pump. Plus the equipment necessary for vacuum potting and vacuum encapsulation. It has a built-in resin feed tube inlet with a manually operated trigger style feed control that allows the operator to regulate the resin flow. The vacuum in the chamber causes the resin to be drawn inside, just like drinking through a straw. The system uses cost effective, disposable feed tubing; virtually eliminating clean up. The standard size resin feed tubing is 1/4-inch inside diameter, by 3/8-inch outside diameter. A roll of tubing is provided with each VE Series Vacuum Encapsulator.
Multiple parts can be processed during each vacuum cycle by using the included articulation rod to position the resin feed tube above each part. The articulation rod is capable of push-pull and rotary motion. It is provided with multiple bent-loop extensions to accommodate parts of varying height. For additional flexibility in moving parts within the chamber, the Rotary Table can be specified.
Most epoxy resins flow better when heated. One typical filled epoxy resin that has a viscosity of 320,000 centipoise (cps) at 75°F (stiffer than peanut butter) drops to 25,000 centipoise (cps) (like chocolate syrup) at 150°F. If you need heat, Envax has solutions available.
The VacuMix provides the means to combine two or more liquids and/or fillers under vacuum conditions. By mixing in a vacuum environment, the end-product will be free of air pockets and bubbles.
The chamber can be ordered in standard sizes (10", 16" or 24"), or it can be fabricated to meet specific design and size requirements. The VacuMix models are based on the VC Series General Purpose Vacuum Purpose Vacuum Chambers, but , without the interior light and control panel. Most units are the VSM type with DC variable speed drives having a 0-100 RPM speed range, however, units with speeds up to 2,500 RPM have been built. M type manual drive units with a hand-crank are also available. Mixing Vessels, and the required fixtures are normally provided with each unit. Customer supplied/specified vessels can be designed into the system.
Most VacuMix units feature the Envax quick-change mixer paddle design that requires no tools for a paddle removal. Mixer paddles are generally machined aluminum, however, welded stainless steel mixer paddles are used in some larger models. High-speed mixers require other types of mixer blades.

For larger applications Envax RVC-Series vacuum chambers are simple and rugged. Designed for production, the cover is supported by a davit. On pressure models, the chamber cover hold-down lugs have integral "T" handles that retain all hardware. The result is fast and easy opening and closing. A 1/2-inch diameter O-ring seal is standard.
Chambers are guaranteed capable of 0.1 Torr, with higher vacuum capability available. Standard models are available as full vacuum only; full vacuum and 14.5-psig pressure; and as full vacuum and 75-psig pressure ASME (Section VIII Division 1) coded Vessels.
Standard material is carbon steel, with zinc primer and epoxy topcoat. The interior is unpainted mill finish. Stainless steel is available as an option.
A 6-inch diameter window, mounted in the cover, is standard. Additional windows, and interior lighting are also available. Your chamber can be customized with heaters, feed throughs, and rotary turntable. A vacuum release valve and a mechanical vacuum gauge are provided as standard equipment. Electronic vacuum measurement is available as an option. The chamber has a 1/2-inch NPT (plugged) fitting at the bottom, which may be used as a drain.
The Envax VacuDip was developed to meet customer requirements for a more automated as well as a more dependable method for varnish impregnation of coils. The VacuDip has a built-in liquid sump, and an "elevator" for lowering the work into the sump under vacuum conditions. Placing the parts under vacuum before dipping them into the varnish eliminates air that could remain trapped when coils are dipped into the varnish before the chamber is closed and evacuated.
Each VacuDip is normally provided with two work trays. Parts are loaded onto a work tray, and the tray is placed on the chamber elevator. While a work tray is being processed, the other work tray is emptied and reloaded. The standard version of the VacuDip has one door.
The VacuDip can be pneumatically operated, or computer controlled. The fully automated version features a "touch screen" for operator input process times, and elevator settings. The operator can select from several stored programs.
Each VacuDip system is individually tailored to customer requirements. What does yours need to do?
